Error

Pronunciation: /ˈɛr.ər/ Explain

Error can refer to three different things in mathematics:

1. Measurment Error - the difference between a measurement and an actual value.
2. Computational Error - the difference between a calculated value and the actual or theoretical value.
3. Statistical error - how much a summary value of a variable for the whole population is likely to differ from the summary value of a sample.
